Sample New Web ProjectAlthough each project is unique, our web design process often follows the same basic stages. Our clients have found that this step-by-step outline helps to simplify the sometimes overwhelming idea of creating a web site. Step 1: Site Planning & Navigation DevelopmentThe process begins with in-depth discussions on the goals, purpose and audience of your site, as well as a discussion on your design preferences. The end result of this step is the creation of a clear flowchart for your sites navigation that includes all sections, pages and features of your site. Step 2: DesignYou receive custom design mock-ups for your Home page. These are provided in graphic (.jpg) format for simplicity in the draft stage. You review these and we adjust, revise and redo based on your feedback. Once the Home page is approved, you will receive one or more custom design options for your sites Interior pages. Step 3: Design ImplementationHere we convert the final design to working HTML mock-ups. All graphics and images are optimized for speed, browser type and screen resolution. In addition, any javascript mouseovers or other programming integral to the design is implemented during this stage. Step 4: Site Implementation[Final text must be provided, and design must be approved before this step.] Create and Layout all pages of your site in HTML. If any database programming is involved, it should be completed along with this stage. Step 5: LaunchOnce the completed site is approved, it will be "published" online. Step 6: Promotion & TrackingWe always implement sites to improve search engine ranking. Once the site is launched, we submit your url to the top search engines and directories (Google, Yahoo!, etc). We also can help clients set up a Google Analytics account so they can track traffic to their site. Step 7: UpdatesOnce the site is up-and-running, we follow up with updates as required by the client monthly, quarterly, etc. |
