If you know the dot-com name you want, first check at WHO IS to see if it’s available. If so, we recommend you reserve it as soon as possible at GoDaddy.

SPAM blocking

There are many tools for blocking SPAM but on our websites we've found the only tool that works most of the time is a CAPTCHA riddler tool.

If you're thinking of expanding your email list beyond the basic, check out Constant Contact for a paid hosted service or PHP List for an open source solution if you can host it yourself.

How to FTP

If you’re going to be uploading to your server and making changes, you’ll most likely be doing that with FTP. We recommend WinSCP.
